Students: Become part of our team

In the last three years, over 200 students have gained valuable skills and experience at the IESO through a range of opportunities – many leading to exciting careers after graduation. Below is a short description of our student programs and their requirements, as well as instructions on how to apply.

Professional Experience Year (PEY) Students: 

  • 12 to 16 months
  • Must be enrolled in an internship or co-op program with a university or college
  • Must have completed at least the second year of program (unless otherwise specified)
  • Opportunities posted every year from September to January and start the following May


Co-op / Development Students:

  • 4 or 8 months (maximum of two terms)
  • Must be enrolled in an internship or co-op program with a university or college
  • Opportunities posted year-round at academic institutions; work terms start in January, May and September
